Time to get sorted!
This is the view that greeted me on my way downstairs this morning. It’s a small part of my overall stash and I am currently switching out some of the heavier weight winter yarns (possibly prematurely – it is in fact snowing outside…)
If I manage to make enough of a dent in the tidying up so that I can access that drum carder by tomorrow, I should have time to make a couple of art yarn batts – always fun stuff!
And now I feel a bit of a cheat. It actually took me a week to get from there to here – but the post below kindly adjusted its date so I don’t look so feeble. Clearly, I’m no tech. wizard.
So why am I here? Yes, it started with all those ‘inspirational’, ‘seasonal’, ‘cosy’, ‘make your own sandwiches out of a slice of hand stitched shoe leather’ blogs that I genuinely love to read. I think I just wanted to join the fun. I have moved on from following simple craft blogs, though I’m still happy to share any of my patterns that I have actually got around to writing up. And I’m as keen as the next (won’t say ‘man’) on eating delicious dishes.
Yarn, though, is a constant. I card it, comb it, spin it, dye it, knit and crochet it. Sometimes I just buy it. All of it, any of it. Don’t get me started.
Brighton beach under snow, midday last week. Dark and moody. Not a bad place to start really. It’s where I live and work – and pretty much how I feel right now, fighting this blog setup!
I’ll be back soon. Hope/promise.
